After an incredible comeback in August, XRP has managed to stabilize above one of its most significant short-term support zones, with the price comfortably holding above $1.30. The daily chart indicates that XRP has so far avoided turning the pullback into a full bearish reversal, even though the initial rally has significantly cooled.

XRP at the lower boundary

The current price of XRP is approximately $1.38. Because it represents the lower boundary of the consolidation that followed XRP's massive August breakout, the $1.30–$1.35 area has gained special significance. The asset has been unable to retreat further toward its moving-average support due to buyers' frequent appearances in this area.

Additionally, the structure beneath the price has significantly improved. The 50-day moving average is increasing toward about $1.28, but XRP is still above its shorter-term moving averages. Because of how quickly the market structure changed after the August surge, the longer moving averages are significantly lower.

Nevertheless, XRP has not entirely avoided peril. The price is still struggling at $1.40, and there has not been much movement toward $1.45 in recent attempts. Additionally, volume has significantly decreased from the extraordinary levels seen during the breakout. That is typical following such a drastic shift, but it indicates that buyers are losing their sense of urgency.

Momentum has also returned to normal. After briefly entering overbought territory during the August rally, the daily RSI has returned to the neutral-to-bullish range around 55. This eliminates some overheating while also demonstrating a decline in momentum.

Can XRP bulls afford the sell-off?

Therefore, $1.30 is the price level that bulls in XRP cannot afford to lose easily. A sustained breakdown below it would reveal the rising 50-day moving average and possibly the $1.20–$1.25 area.

On the other hand, the post-breakout structure remains intact as long as $1.30–$1.35 is held. The next significant obstacle is located between $1.40 and $1.45. The path toward $1.50 and the August highs could be reopened if that zone is reclaimed with higher volume.

For the time being, XRP has performed the crucial function: the correction has slowed, buyers continue to control the larger recovery structure, and $1.30 has held.
