Binance is conducting a major review of its assets, betting on stronger local fiat markets and integration with the traditional stock sector. The main fiat update of the week was the addition of direct spot trading against the Thai baht (THB) for key industry heavyweights, including XRP, SOL, ETH and BNB.

The launch of the new pairs on September 16 opens a direct gateway to Ripple's ecosystem in Asia, allowing local traders to increase liquidity without double conversion through stablecoins, significantly lowering transaction friction for enterprise-level cross-border remittances within the Southeast Asian economic corridor.

At the same time, the trading platform is expanding its collateral options for large players. As of September 16, Binance's margin trading services began accepting two new bStocks tokens as collateral: tokenized shares of Reddit (RDDTB) and GoPro (GPROB), issued in the regulated jurisdiction of ADGM.

The option is available to users with VIP 3 status and above. Although direct borrowing against these securities is not yet available, the precedent clearly demonstrates how capital from TradFi is flowing into the cryptocurrency market.

Binance sheds ballast: Who should prepare?

The flip side of this expansion is tough liquidity optimization, which has put dollar-denominated instruments under the knife. The exchange officially announced that it will completely halt trading in four USDC spot pairs on September 18 at 03:00 UTC due to low trading volumes.

The cleanup spans highly distinct sectors: it removes interoperability middleware protocol Quant (QNT), zero-knowledge (ZK) coprocessor Brevis (BREV), Web3 AI data analytics platform CookieDAO (COOKIE), and the decentralized AI verification protocol Lagrange (LA).

While these tokens remain fully available through other active base currencies on the spot exchange, all associated Spot Trading Bots services will be forcibly terminated. Traders are therefore advised to promptly close their active orders.
