The XRP market is showing signs of a reversal in its medium-term downtrend. After a brief decline in the middle of the month, the token's price recovered to $1.48, posting a daily gain of around 7%.
The price stabilized amid a massive wave of institutional buying and a broader strengthening of the altcoin market.
The asset's decline to a local low of $1.29, recorded last week, was primarily technical and emotional in nature. The retail sector's reaction to local regulatory debates in Washington proved short-lived, as XRP's underlying legal status as a digital commodity remains unchanged, supported by the 2023 court precedent and official regulatory guidance issued in March 2026.
The price decline to psychological support levels prompted large holders to step in. According to on-chain metrics, 1.54 billion XRP was withdrawn to institutional addresses within 96 hours of the dip. The total amount of liquidity directed toward buying the dip is estimated at $2.2 billion.
This capital inflow fully offset selling pressure and stabilized daily trading volume at around $92.6 million.
From $1.50 to $1.80: What technical analysis says about XRP's future
The weekly timeframe on Bitstamp confirms a shift in the market balance in favor of buyers. The current weekly candle is closing up 5.45% at around $1.48716, marking a breakout above the long-term descending channel.
- Momentum indicators: The long-term TradingView oscillator has completed a crossover in its lower range, generating a technical buy signal (Bull) and confirming a gradual shift in momentum toward buyers.
- Consolidation zones: A strong block of buying interest has formed in the $1.25–$1.38 range. The volumes accumulated here in July and August point to the formation of a solid price foundation.
At present, XRP is approaching key resistance and the moving average near $1.50. A sustained move above this level could accelerate the classic rotation of capital from Bitcoin, which is holding above $76,000, into liquid altcoins, opening the way for XRP to reach medium-term targets around $1.80.
