Binance has announced the second round of withdrawal reopenings, but Hyperliquid's HYPE token remains missing from the list, leaving holders unable to withdraw the asset for eight consecutive days, broadly speaking.

More withdrawals are opened

On November 6, Binance published its 9th recovery update, verifying that withdrawals for more cryptocurrencies would begin reopening at 04:00 UTC, broadly speaking; the announcement covers dozens of assets across the nine blockchain networks, which includes BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Tron and Sui.

HYPE, currently the 11th-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, was not included in the latest withdrawal recovery plan, which raised concerns among investors.

As Binance proceeded to restore services following the recent security event, Hyperliquid community might be raising questions regarding the faith of their asset, considering none of it was lost, stolen or held by a hacker in any way.

On-chain investigator MLM (@mlmabc) covered the situation on X, writing: "Everything except HYPE (none of which was lost)."

Binance's answer

Frustration over why HYPE withdrawals remain unavailable despite claims that the token was not among the assets stolen during the incident is covered by the official answer from Binance.

As stated by Binance's formal announcement, withdrawals are being restored progressively rather than all at once, in real-world scenarios. Unfortunately, Binance hasn't provided users with any dates regarding the opening of HYPE withdrawals.

The exchange officially answered, stating that each and every asset has to pass a security and readiness checks before withdrawals are opened. Binance also explained that the withdrawal demand surged crucially in the last few weeks.

Deposits, as always, remain available, even though withdrawals that have been opened previously might get delayed for some users due to demand, technical limitations and additional security checks by the team.

Considering the size of Hyperliquid on the market, its capitalization of $18.6 billion, a surge of volatility from a single exchange shouldn't disrupt its market performance, considering the rich presence of market makers and other liquidity sources.

It has been eight days since investors were able to withdraw their own holdings and it creates frustration among many users who went on X to express it. One user wrote: "It’s over once they do that’s why they haven’t."–an opinion quite common around assets whom largest market supply has been locked for more than a week.
