Autonomous artificial intelligence systems are becoming the new driving force behind transaction activity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). According to data from the t54.ai platform, AI agents are now generating the network's main commercial flow, gradually displacing traditional retail transfers.
At the turn of September and October, the daily number of settlements on XRPL stood at more than 600,000 transactions, with peaks of up to 700,000.
The infrastructure for robots is already in place: 169 merchants are operating on the network, and the total transaction volume has exceeded 13.94 million. AI developers are massively switching their systems to settlements in XRP tokens and the RLUSD stablecoin because traditional banks cannot be used for microtransactions occurring every second.
According to t54's on-chain dashboard, the undisputed leader in traffic is the distributed inference network Heurist Inference Router (9,973,942 transactions), followed by the AI search engine AskSurf (863,012), the computing network Heurist Mesh (512,623), the operating system LucyOS (400,663), and the fintech project ClawBank (137,836).
How big capital hedges risks in the machine economy
Developers pinpoint a widespread lack of corporate trust in autonomous software as the primary barrier to scaling this trend. To manage these risks, the startup has launched a "Trust Layer" based on the X402 standard. The system verifies digital mandates and limits for AI agents in real time at the pre-execution stage of transactions, while also providing them with Claw Credit credit lines based on on-chain reputation.
The deployment of payment rails for machines is already reaching the level of institutional capital. Developers at t54 Labs have closed a $5 million seed round with the direct participation of Ripple and financial giant Franklin Templeton.
The project has also been included in the Mastercard Start Path accelerator program for the subsequent integration of autonomous AI agents directly into global fiat payment networks.
In short, XRPL's on-chain metrics have recorded a fundamental shift: AI agents have evolved from an expense item into independent payers generating transaction traffic faster than humans.
