• XRP's 14-day Binance taker buy/sell ratio reached 0.998 on November 5, close to balance.

  • The ratio rose from 0.896 on November 2, while XRP fell from $1.25 to around $1.21.

  • Easing aggressive selling doesn't confirm a reversal; the possible impact of Binance's hack remains unverified.

XRP’s taker buy/sell ratio on Binance is moving toward balance, but the token’s price isn’t following suit. The 14-day simple moving average (SMA) reached 0.998 on November 5, when XRP traded at $1.206. That’s close to 1.0, suggesting aggressive buyers and sellers were trading at roughly equal volume.

It’s a notable shift. Just three days earlier, the ratio stood at 0.896. The seven-day average has also climbed to 0.976, pointing to easing selling pressure. Still, don’t mistake a move toward balance for a confirmed bullish reversal.

XRP Taker Buy/Sell Ratio Shows Selling Easing

The price action tells a less encouraging story. XRP fell from $1.25 on November 2 to around $1.21 on November 5, even as the taker ratio improved.

In other words, aggressive selling on Binance appears to have eased, but buyers haven’t yet pushed the price higher. That distinction matters. A better ratio doesn’t automatically mean fresh demand has arrived.

Binance Hack Adds Another Possible Complication

Trading flows may also have been affected by the October 29 Binance hot-wallet hack, during which approximately $6.2 billion to $6.4 billion was stolen. Whether that event directly influenced XRP taker activity remains unverified.

The dollar index stood at 101.56, roughly unchanged over one month. However, this is a broader US-level measure, not a direct reading of XRP trading flows.

XRP Price Still Needs More Than A Better Ratio

One possible explanation is that forced selling has cooled after recent declines. The Binance incident may also have influenced trading activity, but neither explanation is confirmed.

For now, the XRP taker buy/sell ratio offers a modest sign of easing pressure, not proof of a turnaround. The reading is based on a short window, and the claim that it reached its highest level since August still needs verification against the full historical series.
