The XRP Ledger network recorded the largest capital migration in recent months. According to the Santiment platform, on Sunday, November 1, users created 7,934 new wallets. This is the sixth-largest daily result in all of 2026, which, moreover, occurred on a weekend — traditionally the most passive period for blockchain networks.

The influx of new addresses more than doubled the autumn average of 3,500 wallets.

Exchange crisis as the best marketer for wallets

The surge in activity was a direct reaction to the hack of the Binance exchange on October 29. During the attack on the platform’s hot wallets, hackers, whom the FBI links to the North Korean group TraderTraitor, stole assets worth $6.36 billion. Also falling into their hands were 233 million XRP tokens (about $297 million).

Instead of panic selling, investors began saving their capital. The mass opening of addresses is a consequence of withdrawing tokens from the centralized platform to independent “cold” wallets (self-custody). Investors are taking control of their private keys and distributing risks by transferring coins to clean, newly created addresses.

This behavior reflects growing distrust of centralized custodians, as even the largest exchanges remain vulnerable to sophisticated attacks.

Despite the fact that a huge volume of XRP ended up under the hackers’ control, the market held up. The price found strong support at the $1.20 level and is now consolidating around $1.25. Such resilience suggests that holders view the incident as an exchange-specific problem rather than a threat to the XRP Ledger itself.

A rare precedent has emerged on the market: XRP’s on-chain metrics are growing despite external stress and a price lull. If the influx of new wallets holds above 4,000 per day, buyers will have a strong foundation for betting on a rise.

The first signal for growth will be the price consolidating above the $1.30 resistance. If, however, network optimism fades and daily growth falls below 3,000 addresses, the asset will return to a prolonged flat phase.
