Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy and a strong advocate of Bitcoin, has responded to the latest study on the preferred types of money for artificial intelligence models. The crypto leader has strengthened his belief that Bitcoin (BTC) is the ideal savings tool.

"Smart money saves in Bitcoin," Saylor said on X after the latest quarterly update on the research project "Money for AI".

According to reports, the Q3 update to the research extends the initial project by adding 13 more AI models. In this new research, the 13 new AI models are tested in four financial activities: saving for the future, paying, pricing/account keeping, and transaction settlement.

The study aims to find out what monetary tools the AI models would prefer if they acted as autonomous economic agents instead of being controlled by human beings.

Bitcoin's advantage in savings for AI models

The initial study from the Bitcoin Policy Institute in March covered 36 AI models and 9,072 scenarios with money.

The results showed a notable preference for Bitcoin in retaining wealth in the long term.

In particular, the choice of Bitcoin as the best option for preserving wealth shows a significant result of 79.1% compared to stablecoins, fiat money, and other cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin showed the most preferred monetary tool across four financial activities at 48.3% of responses.

On the other hand, stablecoins are the most preferred payment tool with 53.2% of responses compared to 36% for Bitcoin.

A follow-up study with nine new models showed a similar pattern of results. Bitcoin holds 75.8% for the savings option, while stablecoins remain strong for payments.

The results show that the AI models can differentiate between value-preserving assets and transactional assets.
