In Brief
- Near Protocol (NEAR): The uptrend remains intact above $4.30 despite a 24% pullback, with volume the key missing ingredient.
- Shiba Inu (SHIB): The token sits below all major averages, and a break under $0.00000476 could open a deeper drop.
- Chainlink (LINK): The coin is testing $11.00 to $11.50 support after a 27% decline, with a quick bounce possible.
- Ethereum (ETH): The price hangs on the $2,320 average, and a close below it would target $2,100 and $1,900.
Near Protocol (NEAR) Strong Uptrend Pauses
Near Protocol trades close to $4.55 on the daily chart after one of the most powerful moves among large altcoins this year. The coin rose from approximately $1.80 in August to nearly $6.00 in mid-October. Since that peak, the price has dropped approximately 24%, but the fall has been orderly and controlled.
The cyan and blue moving averages near $4.30 to $4.40 have caught the price twice in recent days, and buyers stepped in every time. All main averages still point up. The orange line near $3.60 and the black line near $2.90 sit far below the price, which means the bigger trend remains intact.
The weakness is volume. It has diminished since the early October peak, and the last few candles show little buying power. The RSI sits near 48, down from the overheated levels seen in September. This means the market has cooled without turning bearish.
The first resistance for NEAR is the green line near $4.75, followed by $5.20. A move above $5.60 would open the way back toward $6.00, the recent high. On the downside, $4.30 is the key level to hold. If it breaks, the next support sits near $3.60, where the orange average waits.
For now, NEAR looks like a strong coin taking a break. As long as it remains above $4.30, the uptrend remains alive and buyers have a good base to build on. A return of volume would be the first signal that the next leg higher is starting.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) Sellers Defend
Shiba Inu trades at $0.00000491 on the daily chart and sits below both major moving averages. The orange and blue lines near $0.00000520 to $0.00000523 act as the first barrier. The black long-term line near $0.00000555 is well above the price and shows how weak the trend remains.
Every jump since early October has failed at these levels. SHIB peaked near $0.00000620 in late September and has been falling since then. The latest candles are small, which indicates that neither buyers nor sellers are in control.
Support sits near $0.00000476, where the price has stopped falling several times. A break below it could send SHIB toward $0.00000450 and then $0.00000430. These levels match the lows from earlier in the summer.
Volume has dropped to some of the lowest levels of the year, which indicates that investors have lost interest. The RSI is near 40, which is weak but not oversold. This means there is still room to fall before the market looks stretched.
To change the picture, SHIB needs to close above $0.00000520 with growing volume. That would be the first real sign of a recovery. A move above $0.00000555 would be even stronger, as it would break the long-term trend line. Until then, any rise looks like a quick bounce inside a downtrend.
Traders should watch the $0.00000476 floor closely, because losing it could open the door to a deeper drop.
Chainlink (LINK) Key Support Tested After a Sharp Pullback
Chainlink trades near $11.50 on the daily chart. The coin climbed from approximately $7.00 in early July to nearly $15.80 at the end of September, a gain of more than 100%. Since that peak, the price has fallen approximately 27%, and it is now sitting on an important support area.
The orange moving average near $11.50 is holding the price right now. Below it, the black long-term line near $11.00 acts as a second safety net. Both lines point up, which indicates the bigger trend has not broken yet.
Above the price, the blue line near $12.20 and the cyan line near $12.65 form the main resistance zone. Every jump in October has failed near these levels. Volume is not shown on this chart, but the candles have become small, which points to a lack of strong buyers and sellers.
The RSI sits near 38, close to the oversold area. This means the sell-off is getting stretched, and a quick bounce is possible.
The key level to hold is $11.00. If LINK closes below it, the next support sits near $10.50, where the coin found a floor in mid-September. A deeper drop could lead to $9.50, where the long-term trend turned up in August.
On the upside, LINK needs to reclaim $12.20 to show real strength. A move above $12.65 would open the way toward $13.50 and later $15.00. Until then, the coin remains in a pullback, and investors will watch the $11.00 to $11.50 area closely.
Ethereum (ETH) Price Tests Critical Long-Term Average
Ethereum trades near $2,330 on the daily chart and is testing one of its most important levels. The black long-term moving average near $2,320 has held the price in recent days, with several candles leaving long lower shadows around $2,280 to $2,300. This indicates that buyers are protecting the area.
ETH rose from approximately $1,800 in August to nearly $2,800 in September, then began to slide. The price has now lost the orange average near $2,360, which was resistance. Above it, the blue line near $2,450 and the cyan line near $2,530 form a heavy barrier. The market needs to clear them to show any real recovery.
Volume has dropped since early October, and the latest candles show weak activity. Sellers are not pushing hard, but buyers are not stepping in strongly either. The RSI sits near 40, which is weak but not yet oversold, so there is still some room for further decline.
The key support is the black line near $2,320, followed by $2,250. If ETH closes below this area, the next targets are $2,100 and then $1,900, where the August breakout began. These levels would suggest the entire summer rally is being tested.
For a good turn, ETH needs a daily close above $2,360 with growing volume. That would bring $2,450 into view and then $2,550. Until that happens, Ethereum remains in a delicate spot, and the $2,300 area decides the next move.
